Do you feel stuck or need assistance with focusing on your next steps in life? Are you battling past trauma and need help with healing from past experiences?  Do you feel you are overly critical of yourself and you are ready to free yourself from self-doubt and negative internal talk?

My name is Candice White, and I am a licensed Master's Social Worker and Therapist. As a therapist, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space for anyone who seeks insight, balance, and growth at their current stage in life. I work with teens, young adults, and parents who may feel stuck during a life transition or need better ways to cope with obstacles through cognitive techniques. I specialize in unique challenges faced by the BIPOC community. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, as I focus on supporting my clients with the best skills and strategies that fit their specific needs

Overall, my goal is to encourage meaningful conversations to allow clients to take the lead in creating healthy communication styles and coping skills. I create a space of support and guidance for clients to heal from pain and foster relationships out of love, not survival. It is my mission to create generational mental wealth for individuals to eventually pass on to their families. Through this lens, I meet clients where they are with a mutual respect for their experience and perspective, regardless of their circumstances.

As a therapist, I bring a sense of calmness, compassion, and empathy. I specialize in life transitions, Anxiety, Depression, Self-Esteem, Finding Your Passion, Identity, Racial Trauma, Stress Management, Parenting, Family Communication, Grief, and Loss. As a therapist, I utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Attachment-based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.

I graduated from the University of Georgia’s School of Social Work program with a Master's Degree and Morgan State University with a Bachelors. I am professionally affiliated with the Georgia Society of Clinical Social Workers.

With 14 years of service-related experience, I began my career working with children and families to reinforce positive connections. I then gained experience in youth development programs for various nonprofits. Most recently, I managed a multi-site afterschool program that included social-emotional learning activities for youth. I have experience in teen life coaching, mediation, case management, youth program development, community resource linkage, and crisis intervention and management.

Therapy is a gift that helps one gain clarity around their personal challenges. As your mental health cheerleader, I want to help guide your healing process so that you can have a happier, healthier, and more fulfilled life. Let’s replace negative thoughts with positive, more productive patterns of thinking. If you are interested in a free consultation, feel free to contact me at 470-291-8808 or by email here.
