I’m DuBose Bean, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at Baobab Counseling Center. I am currently completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University.

 

My background includes working with adolescents and individuals with developmental and behavioral challenges at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Kennesaw, Georgia. During my time there, I had the privilege of supporting youth who have experienced significant trauma as well as individuals on the Autism spectrum. These experiences deepened my understanding of how resilience and growth can emerge even in the face of great adversity.

As a counselor-in-training, I am passionate about helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where clients can explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and develop the tools they need to heal and grow.

It is an honor to be part of Baobab Counseling Center, and I look forward to walking alongside clients as they navigate their unique journeys toward wellness and balance.
