“Perhaps everything that frightens us is,
in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love”
~ Ranier Maria Rilke
I would enjoy meeting with you where you are, as you are whether you have a desire to connect and discuss matters that can be addressed over a few conversations or if life is inviting you to engage in deeper inner work over a longer period of time.
My life experiences, education, and work as a therapist have led me to an approach that centers on collaborating with you to creatively integrate your significant past experiences, whether joyful or painful, into your larger journey toward wholeness. Both personally and professionally I have learned that when we attempt to either lock painful memories away or allow them to define who we are – we are understandably more vulnerable to addictions, to losing connection with our essence and purpose, and to self-defeating patterns of relating to others. By integrating Polyvagal Theory with Level 1 training of the Internal Family Systems Model, I seek to facilitate the re-connection between inner essence and the unique aspects of your personality. Reestablishing this vital connection frequently results in deepened understanding, compassion, and loving connectivity with internal and external relationships.
One of the greatest joys I experience is walking alongside another and witnessing the reconnection with essence, life purpose, and renewed love for the unique journey to wholeness.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three adult children and their families, hiking and trail running with our dogs, and trying new restaurants that serve international cuisine. I am an avid reader and an at home yoga practitioner. I look forward to connecting with you soon. I am currently under supervision as I am working toward full licensure.
